Become a moderator

Help keep the box kind, honest and human.

takemeback.world has no company behind it and no paid staff. It's looked after by people who care about it. Moderators are the ones who keep it worth reading.

What moderators do

• Read new writers' first memories and let them into the box.
• Look at memories that were held by the filter or reported by readers, and decide whether they stay.
• Trust writers who clearly belong here, and suspend the rare few who don't.
• Follow the house rules: generous with hard stories and honest swearing, firm on threats, hate, sexual content and anyone's private details.

Who we're looking for

• Adults (18+) who have put at least one memory in the box.
• Calm, fair people who can read something they disagree with and judge it by the rules, not their mood.
• Anyone with an hour or two a week. No experience needed.

It's unpaid, there's no pressure, and you can step back whenever you like.
